About AI IA Labs

AI IA Labs builds GamIA — Georgia's free Georgian-language cognitive games platform for children and teenagers. The company was founded in October 2025 in Tbilisi, Georgia, by Bachuki (Bacho) Labadze, together with co-founders Nikoloz Bezhiashvili, Eka Tchikhladze, Levan Tchighladze, and Cotne Motsonelidze.

    What we do

We work in one language pair, on one product line, for one audience: Georgian-speaking kids aged 8 to 16 and the parents and teachers who hand them the device. Every product decision starts from there.

    Why this matters

Georgia has roughly 3.7 million native Georgian speakers. The Georgian-language web is small, fragmented, and underfunded — and the educational software market reflects that. International platforms either don't translate to Georgian at all or rely on machine translation that fails on classical texts and inflectional grammar.

A Georgian-speaking 10-year-old who wants to learn vocabulary through games today has roughly the same options a Georgian-speaking 10-year-old had in 2015. We're trying to change that.

    How we work

    Content sourcing

The Georgian content in GamIA — proverbs, classical poetry from Vepkhistqaosani, history quiz facts, geography — is sourced from verified canonical editions (NPLG, Tskaro, established academic sources). We never let an AI generate Georgian classical text. Hallucinations on Rustaveli aren't acceptable in an educational product.

    Engineering

GamIA runs as a Vite + React single-page app on Firebase Hosting, with Supabase for the leaderboard and challenge state. AI Explain is powered by Google Gemini behind a rate-limited edge function.

    Privacy and child safety

We collect no personally identifiable information. Player identity in the leaderboard is a randomly-assigned Georgian nickname. There are no ads in gameplay, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics scripts that fingerprint users.

    What we're not

We're not an AI-tutor product. We're not a personalized learning platform with adaptive curriculum. We're not a classroom management tool. GamIA is a games platform — the AI is one feature inside it, not the product.

We don't sell to schools and we don't run paid advertising. Since our public beta, GamIA has grown on its own — through word of mouth, a community that follows us on social media, and steady organic traffic. The platform is free because the audience deserves free.
